7/18 CSMNH @ Willimantic 3rd Thursday!
CSMNH @ Willimantic 3rd Thursday!
Thursday, July 18th, 20246:00 PM - 9:00 PM Downtown Willimantic, CTSummer 2023 was the first year the CSMNH attended Willimantic’s long running 3rd Thursday Street Fests. We had a great time at last year’s events and are excited to bring two kid-friendly activities to Third Thursday in 2024!
On July 18, we’ll be celebrating UConn Extension’s 10th Annual Bug Week by focusing on insects, and treehoppers in particular! Kids will learn about the diversity found in these tiny insects, how they live with and help feed ants, and how the patterns and colors on their “helmets” help protect them. This activity is held in conjunction with our exhibit Natural Selection is Amazing! Exploring the Dazzling Diversity of Treehoppers, on display in the Gant Science Complex at UConn Storrs.Contact Information:CSMNHinfo@uconn.edu
